About occupants
I (Adam) am the other occupant of the apartment - I'm mature widow (straight). I lost my wife to cancer approximately 8 years ago.
I'm happy to provide references from previous flatmates. My last flatmate was a mid-twenties PhD student from China. We got along great, and I'm happy to provide her contact details as a referee.
I get along with people of all ages, and have friends in Sydney that I regularly see ranging from mid-twenties to fifties. I don't find age to be an impediment to communication.
I consider myself to be quite young at heart - I enjoy cooking, catching up with my two adult daughters, hanging out with friends, going to theatre and gigs, and most of all going to all the beautiful beaches around Sydney. I also enjoy bushwalking and occasionally going on little camping trips.
I have recently completed a Masters in public policy, and then relocated to Sydney for work. Now I manage a consulting office in the CBD (economics, finance and public policy).
Compatible people
I like casual, open communication. I'm a really positive, optimistic person, so I approach flat sharing on the basis that we should each respect each others' boundaries, while also being friendly and respectful.
