Home Description
Description of the home
This gorgeous character home is white picket fence material; with fire places, lead lighting, ornate ceilings, floorboards, a large tiled kitchen complete with a dishwasher, loads of cupboard, draw and pantry space, a huge dining and lounge area and air conditioning . It's recently been renovated and landscaped. One of the large bedrooms has a built in wardrobe with shelves and hanging space, a romantic white queen size bed, side table, grey couch bean bags and white storage cubes. The other enormous bedroom is also furnished and has a beautiful fireplace and a wardrobe, queen bed and cute desk and side table. There's a large bathroom with a separate bath, shower and toilet.
The internet works well and the house (and kitchen) is fully furnished including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer and dryer, although there's also a clothes line. The solar panels keep electricity costs low. The garden is heavenly and smells of lavender and citrus blossoms, whilst being low maintenance.
There's a park across the road, bus stop and gym on the street, coffee shop around the corner, service station at the end of the road and Albany Hwy is two minutes away with it's restaurant, bar and cafe strip and shopping centres. The river is within walking distance and the wetlands nature strip is nearby. So it's the best of both worlds - cosmopolitan and nature! (Also, it's close to the city).

My name is Wendy, I have a variety of interests and a colourful and interesting past. I have run two dance schools, studied ballet at the West Australian Performing Arts Academy before dropping out to study a BA(English) and then work as a journalist/photographer before finding my real love to be Law. I have worked as a lawyer in many states and territories and overseas (particularly East Timor) with the UN. I have travelled overseas a reasonable amount and hope to see Argentina and the South Pole one day!
I'm passionate about yoga and currently teach at a private mental health hospital and another community health organisation.
I love people and find each individual from any walk of life interesting in her/his own way. Nonetheless, I'm very content with my own company.
I'm over 40, but still have a youthful outlook on life with it's comedy of errors and joys.
I absolutely love stand up comedy...anything from Judith Lucy to Jim Jefferies.
I don't really care about the age of a flatmate provided they have enough life experience to be fun whilst showing maturity and respect for themselves and 'our' new home.
A sense of humour and an easy going disposition would be delightful. I enjoy a good conversation and/or shared meal but also like my own company.
I have a cat so if your allergic or hate animals this isn't the home for you!
Just read my profile and you'll get a good idea of the sort of person I am and if you'd be a good fit for the place. I genuinely like people from all walks of life and respect each persons individuality. A FIFO worker would be ideal.
