Home Description

Description of the home

Great little house in Hawthorn, right on the border of Richmond. The room is at the front of the property, very large with built in robes and original wooden flooring. House furnished with all the essentials, but there’s still a lot more space for shelving etc if you have any you’d like to bring along 😊. There’s a lovely yard with a nice garden and an undercover entertaining area out the back.

The house comes with one street permit, and one garage space. Either option is available, but rent with the garage would be $350 per week. I’m currently using the garage but would be happy to swap to the street if that’s your preference!

Location is awesome - about a 1 minute walk to tram stops and a 10 minute walk to the Yarra, with cafes and restaurants / pubs right on the doorstep.

About the occupants
I’m Preston, a super easy going 27 year old guy, and I come with a 4 year old dog named Richie. I work full time in the med device industry, so I’ll be out and about a fair bit servicing my hospitals, while occasionally working from home (my wfh set up is away from the communal areas of the house) or from the office.

In my spare time I enjoy getting out in nature with the dog. I love a good coffee and a good beer, and am very into music and art. I also keep active at the gym and the pool.

I’ve recently moved over from Perth, so my ideal housemate would be someone who clicks really well with Richie and myself.
Compatible people
Would love to live with someone who is easy going and up for a laugh or a good chat. Main priority is being able to feel comfortable in each others space, whether that involves hanging out over a meal / beer, or giving each other room to do our own thing.

I do like to get out and about at bars etc on the weekends, but I’m not one to bring the party home with me and the house is more of a relaxed environment - definitely not a party house. More than happy to have friends over though 😊
Description of pets
Richie is a very loveable though sometimes cheeky mix breed (your guess is as good as mine)! He’s about 4yo, loves people and will manage to wriggle his way into your heart.
