Other information
I'm still figuring this out. The room is 3.76m x 2.86m. It's unfurnished. It can fit either a double or queen bed, one or two bedside tables and probably either an arm chair, tall boy chest of drawers, tv or a desk and chair. I'm open to negotiate furniture.

Bills and expenses

Unless otherwise agreed the bills will be divided equally between housemates. It would depend on whether you use less or more of a utlility. Utilities include electricity, internet, gas cylinders (hot water), water usage. Our current electricity is an average of $73/mth (I don't tend to run the air con). Internet is $70/Mth. I paid $370 for 2 x 45kg gas cylinders on 18th July when I moved in, so I'm not sure how long it will last or how much has already been used (it's still on the first cylinder). The gas is only used for hot water. I haven't got a water bill yet at this rental. This house has tank water for the garden, so it will be different to the last rental's water bill.

About occupants
I'm an easy going, laid back kind of person. I have a background in administration and have a Bachelor of Psychological Science. I’m a non-smoker and won’t consider smokers. I don’t drink (health reasons) but have no issues if you do (in moderation). I have a quiet homebody lifestyle and don’t throw big parties! I love animals but have none at the moment. I enjoy having my grandchildren over occasionally, gardening, sewing, binging on tv shows like Criminal Minds, ER and Greys Anatomy, watching movies, going bushwalking, and reading. I'm an introvert, so I like my space, but am also happy to socialise. I'm honest and would like the same. My hope is to find two housemates who communicate well, prioritise their financial obligations, can be assertive enough to discuss any issues, considerate, tidy, and willing to do their part around the house. Other women around my age (58) would be preferable but that’s negotiable for the right person.

I am open to a short term trial period to see how we get along. This could be a month or two. Longterm, the rental agency has told me that you'd need to submit an application for owner approval and you’d need to be on the lease, which is until 13th July 2026. Remember, a lease can be altered easily depending on approved tenants.

The room is 3.76m x 2.86m (actual floorspace) with a built in robe and is currently unfurnished. I think it could fit either a double or queen bed, one or two bedside tables and probably a small arm chair, tv, tall boy draws or a desk & chair. The rest of the house is furnished. I'm in the process of furnishing a second living space (lounge and tv for streaming). The dining room has a long extendable table that can comfortably seat 8 people. Brand new quad door fridge in the kitchen which has a diswasher and microwave. The open plan family/kitchen/dining room is air conditioned. The carpeted main lounge room has a fan (which goes really fast, so is cooling!) as do all the carpeted bedrooms. There is an internal laundry equipped with a 10kg upright water saving washing machine (you can wash blankets in it). There are two clothes lines.

The other person who is currently in the house is planning to move interstate in the coming months, hence I’m looking for two other female housemates. His name is Mark and he’s a family and relationship therapist. Mark has a current police check, and working with children and disability/NDIS checks too.

Feel free to ask me any questions.
Compatible people
I'm looking for an honest, respectful, tidy and considerate housemate who has a good sense of humour. I don't mind if you like your own space and privacy, I like mine too, or if you want to socialise or watch a movie together. Sharing can have it's challengers, so someone who is able to negotiate and communicate would be great. I don't care whether you're working full-time, part-time or studying as long as you can meet your part of the costs.
