I'm recently widowed and looking to buy in the near future. That doesn't happen overnight so I figure I'd rent my extra room instead of moving.
I'm currently month to month with my lease. If you want to and they agree, when I leave you're more than welcome to find a roommate and take over the lease.
I have a great cat and a fresh Golden retriever pup (9 weeks old on 25/8) and he's been a pup for sure but he's been a good lad so far. The cat is barely awake half the day so you won't even notice her.

Lola is the sweetest cat. I was not a cat person at all. My wife had her before me. She's my little buddy now. She mostly just sleeps.
The Goldie is Fred. He's a puppy so he sleeps 20 hours a day. He's doing good with house training. Had a couple accidents but he's picking things up quickly. And I'll be taking him with me to work daily for the next few months.
