Description of the home

Lovely modern townhouse with 5 bedrooms (1 used as a spare room / storage) and 3 bathrooms (1 main, 2 ensuites). Your room has a spacious walk-in wardrobe, and additional personal storage is available in the upstairs hall closet. You'll share the main bathroom with James (see below to suss him out). Sun-drenched private outdoor area and a spacious interior perfect for working from home or just relaxing. Depending on the timeline, you'll be taking over a lease from a current lease member (who has already vacated), and then roll over onto the new lease with the rest of us, subject to approval from the agent and landlord.

15 min walk to Yarraville or Spotswood station, bus stop at our doorway.

Please read a little about our preferences and the three of us below. If you're confident you can gel well then please proceed with an enquiry!

ABOUT ASHA:
—early twenties
—part-time barista
—studied environmental science, chasing a 9-5 in early 2025
—very active, always training for a challenge or a competition (currently building up to a marathon, housemates always welcome as gym / running buddies!)
—spends her spare time reading and binging shows with a cup of tea or a glass of wine in hand
—loves a good gossip and hoping for someone who's keen to share a glass or two soaking up sun in the backyard every now and then!

ABOUT JAMES:
—fairly quiet, very tidy, easy to get along with
—warehouse worker at a chocolate factory (endeavours to keep the kitchen bench well supplied)
—pretends to be enigmatic but he's a bit of a poser
—rarely home during the week
—handwriting is so neat that our RE has a crush on him (it's actually ridiculous)
—when home, usually hidden away in his room having a (quiet) private rave, scribbling in notebooks, reading, playing Nintendo, or any combination thereof
—the only male as yet identified by science who puts the toilet seat DOWN
Compatible people
What we'd like in YOU:
—experienced with cats; gentle, understanding and compassionate towards anxious felines
—alcohol only, no 420 or other recreational drugs (apologies but this is non-negotiable and a deal-breaker if trust is broken)
—LGBTQIA+ friendly
—reads the day to day vibe when in communal spaces and can match the flow
—goes out to party, not into throwing ragers at home
—clean as you go, jumps in on communal upkeep, doesn’t leave mess for others
—reasonably quiet early in the morning and late on weeknights
—pays rent and bills promptly and communicates well to keep things easy for the admin-managing housemate (Rhona)
Description of pets
Anxious rescue cats, Britney and Tifa require a calm and gentle natured housemate who is patient and kind. Once they get to know you they’ll be your best friends!
