Home Description

Description of the home

I need to find a very nice flatmate to share this 2 bedroom apartment.
The apartment is in a great location, situated opposite Royal Park and nearby Princess Park in one of inner Melbourne's largest green belts. It's close to the Zoo (sometimes you can hear gibbons), a running tan, tennis courts and a stones throw from the goodness of Brunswick's Sydney Road. It's a 5 minute walk to supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bars, music venues, Brunswick pool, library etc, etc. There's a choice of two Tram lines and Jewel train station. The Park Street bike path is on the doorstep which gets you to Fitzroy, Merri Creek and joins up to other bike paths that can take you to Abbotsford or the city.

The apartment has been renovated with lovely parquetry floors, new kitchen and bathroom with laundry. It's a smallish room but enough for a double bed. The flat has a little balcony with views over the garden. The lush shared garden makes it a pleasure to walk to the entry door. The 70's architecture means... it's whats inside that counts ... but the double brick walls are great for neighbouring apartment sounds and thermal mass. There is parking permits available from MerriBek Council to park outside on the street for around $100 a year. Or free parking on the street around the corner.

Available when current tenant moves at this stage December. Long term preferred. No couples sorry. No TV in the lounge (I watch things on-demand in my room).
The bills are included, but you will have to organise your own internet. 1 month rent for bond, and rent 1 month in advance. 1 months notice when leaving. Bedroom is unfurnished but I could organise furniture for a slightly higher rent price under negotiation.

I have a dog Coco, she is a groodle that is 4 years old, so you’d have to be up for that! We go for lots of walks in the park. I will be coming and going from the country, leaving a lot of time to have the place to yourself. I mostly stay in the country and I come in to the city to stay at the apartment for work two days a week and for whatever else comes my way, I have projects that can sometimes bring me in for a couple of weeks in a row, I also come in when I want to socialise on weekends or when I rent out my country place on Airbnb. I have a boyfriend that will respectfully stay on occasion but I am mindful not to do this very often.

I am looking for a single mature person, with steady income, Reliable, very neat and very clean and lovely. I think I am those things too

About the occupants
Hi I am an artist and designer, living a freelance life. I have a country house that I spend time in whenever possible. I use the apartment when I have work in the city, for socialising, or when I have Airbnb guests in the country.
Compatible people
I am neat and like a very clean house. Prefer creative types and those that are ecologically friendly.
Description of pets
Coco loves people and is quite big but gentle and lovely. You will get snuggles and socks stolen. Her breed is described as 'having a good sense of the absurd' which pretty much sums her up. She is allowed on the couch.
