Timber cottage with verandah around, 40 acre cattle farm, ponies veggie patch, orchard, chooks, indoor dog and cat, solar power, ac, tank water, heat pumps, coonara wood heater and free wood available, minimal bills. Happy to sign docs if you are on benefits. 4.5k out of town so a 20 minute walk, but vline bus to Melbourne city or catch a lift with us locally. Stunning outdoor environment. Great conversationalists Great in house cook, retired couple, non smoking, drug free, no tv reception except abc but Netflix ok. Big living and dining area. Comfy but not otherwise modern home. We live in paradise, we dont need much.

4. Wood is free for heating but once a year we have to go out and cut it up and trailer it in, about a weeks work, then split and stack it in the wood shed then each night load it in the wheelbarrow to bring inside so help with that is expected. (My 90 year old mum helped last year not hard)

About the occupants
Mark is a retired it consultant who loves to cook, and raid his veggie patch. He is involved in caring for his disabled adult son remotely and does a lot of ndis work on this.
Leonie is partime self employed in trades, travels to the hills regularly to help her aged mum and is animal crazy. And slightly ditsy.
We have had lots of backpackers stay with us and have personal references on workaway as a safe place for female travellers. We enjoy the company of young people.

Description of pets
The dog is big and has his own couch, he thinks he's human and has a ferocious bark. Ever now and then he gets suspicious of strange noises and barks at them. The cat is here to protect the house from mice, and the car engines from rats.she owns us all.
There are chooks and a goose. ponies, cattle and wildlife.
