Home Description

Description of the home

Double-storey warehouse conversion in Teneriffe. 3 bed, 2.5 bathroom (you’ll have your own with a bath - its the one in the photos) and a separate toilet downstairs. Ducted A/C and fresh carpets laid just before I moved in. Has a small balcony that looks out onto a block of creative studios (super quiet at night). The place is fully furnished and has everything you need… just bring your bedroom furniture.

Awesome cafes, bars and restaurants within a stones-throw, the river across the road for your morning walk or run, and New Farm Park waiting for you at the end of it.

Woolies is just down the road at Gasworks and there’s a Woolies Metro around the corner. You’ve got the farmer’s market on the weekend down at the Powerhouse, and a pool in the building for when summer rolls around.

Teneriffe ferry terminal, and bus stop with an express to the city are both across the road.

About the occupants
Hey, I’m Dan 👋 I’m a 41 year old HR director for a software company, and I’m a recent immigrant from Melbourne.

I love cooking (and also, eating 🫣), both are a passion of mine! Always up for a laugh and a vino at the end of the week, and love having a few mates around for low-key dinner on the weekend.

I hit the gym and / or some type of exercise most days, meditate, and actively prioritise my physical and mental health. During the week when I’ve finished work you’ll find me unwinding with some good tunes and a book, maybe a bit of TV.

I’m a keen traveller, love camping, hiking, into music and festivals, and I’m close to my family… so when I’m not at home I’m probably out doing one of those.

I work from home most days and my hours change day-to-day… some days are long and turn into nights, but that all happens out of the way in the third bedroom / office.
Compatible people
If you’re chilled, low-drama and see the glass half-full most of the time, we’re likely going to get along. Having a relaxed, warm and welcoming home that’s clean and tidy is important to me, so very keen to live with someone likeminded in that sense.

Home is definitely a sanctuary for me, and part of that is having a clean, tidy and uncluttered space. Love entertaining, and your friends are always welcome! But let’s keep it to small gatherings on weekends, and head somewhere else for parties.

I’m super respectful of privacy and I’ll ask the same from you. I love socialising, but also recharge best when I’m alone. So especially during the week I’m keen to chill, veg on the couch and keep pretty quiet.

Living with someone who also leads a healthy lifestyle would be great. It’d be great to have exercise, healthy eating and a generally positive attitude in common.
