Home Description

Description of the home

Our home is on two bus routes to and from the city - they do run on weekends and evenings but they are limited at these times. Walking distance to Camp Hill Woolies and shopping village. Near the Whites Hill hiking reserve. Lots of coffee shops in walking distance.

Our home has a retro and comfortable feel. The bathroom and kitchen fixtures are older but all fully functional. The toilet is separate from the bathroom, which has both a shower and a bathtub. Our back patio is a really great place to hang out to watch the sunset and look at the city view. The house is breezy in summer on top of a hill.

Bills and expenses

The room rate includes internet, water and power and use of detergents and toilet supplies. There is air conditioning in the family areas of the house which gets infrequent use because we live on a hill with breezes and because it's brick it rarely gets very hot inside.

About the occupants
Hi, my sons (aged 17, 19 & 20) and I have welcomed lots of exchange students and travelers over the years from 9 different countries. I work for the government. One of my sons is at uni studying film and visits from time to time, one is currently working in hospitality, and one is home full time studying Mandarin. We enjoy movies, video games, music, cooking and visiting with friends.
Compatible people
We welcome someone who is friendly, enjoys conversation, respects the household and tidies up after themselves. We hope to have a housemate who is happy to join us in the living spaces and for some meals, but we'll also respect your privacy and schedule.
