Home Description

Description of the home

The house is in a top location - walking distance to our beautiful botanical gardens, and also to some great music venues. Its a 5 min drive to town, supermarket, cafe and train, hospital, our local Theatre Royal for movies, or the local gym, pool, sauna and spa.

The house itself is pretty organised, but also sort of arty in furnishing style - persian rugs on the floor, cushions. Lots of books around - it has a friendly, warm and welcoming easy-living style.

Ideally, I am looking for a professional working person to share with, and because of the location close to the hospital and secondary school, it would be ideal for a nurse or teacher, and someone who likes independent-living, and a clean and tidy space to come home to.

About the occupants
My name is Cate and I am in my 60s but very fit and active. I have been living in Castlemaine for about 10 years now so know this community pretty well, particularly the music scene as I play music myself. I also walk in the Botanical Gardens each day as they are so close by, and like doing yoga as well. Not so much into gardening, although I try to grow some herbs and veges, and with cooking, I like to eat the best and nutritious I can get, but don't like to spend hours in the kitchen. I do work from home on a magazine I produce, so someone who respects and understands quiet when working will be good.
Compatible people
I think respect is the most important aspect of sharing, and then regular communication. I find these days, a lot of people spend more time in their rooms (which includes myself) so it is important to find time to connect outside of work and rest/relaxation/sleeping hours.

I like living in an organised and clean environment too, so someone who is looking for similar would be perfect.
