Description of the home

Relatively new house in the beautiful Adelaide Hills near the end of a cul de sac, yet only 10km away from the city. 1 min walk to Glenalta train station on the Belair line, only 800m from the Belair National Park, with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Drakes also within walking distance.

There’s a choice of 2 almost identical bedrooms, one unfurnished, the other furnished. Downstairs bathroom would usually only be shared with 1 other person as we have our own ensuite upstairs.

There's a wood fire and ducted reverse cycle air-conditioner. We're still finishing the last few things inside the house, so there's some parts of a temporary kitchen that we're replacing over the next few months, and we're hoping to set up the outdoor cinema and deck in spring. There’s a 2nd large fridge just for housemate use, even a 2nd microwave in the butler’s pantry, plus so much kitchen bench space.

Including myself, there may be up to 3 of us in the house, so it’s important that any new housemate will help with their share of the cleaning.

What we’re looking for in a housemate: As only 1 of us (the homeowners) will be in Adelaide for the next year, and the house is too big for 1 person, finding a housemate or 2 to breathe some life back in to the house would be great. A bit of social chat with housemates, maybe around meals, or over an end of day drink or game would be great. On the other hand, we aren’t looking for someone that stays in town every week until 3am bringing randoms back 😊

Bills and expenses

Included are fast NBN internet, water, cleaning supplies and TP.
Electricty and gas are extra with 2 options, split evenly, or for normal use a contribution of around $35/wk could be negotiated.
